Vacation is over, it's time to get cracking on this here website again. I had some nice travels to San Francisco and New York, including getting to meet Stephane, super-fan of Belgian club RWDM. Very nice to meet you!
I've started the lengthy process of updating all the clubs and leagues to reflect the various promotions, relegations and reorganizations of the offseason. I'll be adding profiles for all the new top division clubs and any new leagues that old top division clubs have dropped to. Looks like there will be quite a bit of movement this time around, I've got a lost of 30 and counting. Both Northern Ireland and Germany have significantly reorganized their league systems while the match-fixing scandal in Poland of a few years ago is still wreaking havoc.
I'm also working on a modest redesign of the look and feel of the site. Nothing drastic but I think it definitely needs a fresh new coat of paint. All of our regular columnists will be back soon with new articles (including a new one from Wyn Grant) this week plus a few new column ideas I'm working on at the moment.
Enjoy the rest of your summer! Hard to believe the new season in Europe has already kicked off with the Intertoto, preseason friendlies and a few leagues (well, Austria) playing league matches.
