The Serie B is one of two groups of Liga II, the second-tier league in Romanian football. For many years it was known as Divizia B. The 18 teams play each other twice (home and away) for a total of 34 games. The top two teams are promoted to Liga I, while the bottom 3 are relegated to Liga III.
