Now that teams and sponsors have recognized a cash cow for what it is, they see fit to shove new kit designs down the fans throats every year or two. This is a column that deals with the specific appeal, or lack-there-of, of team uniforms across the soccer/football globe. It's also somewhat arbitrarily judgmental, and it goes off on tangents, but this is the internet after all. It's also chock-full of pictures of all the uniforms, team crests, and whatever else I stumble across in the quest to help you, gentle reader, appreciate the appeal of soccer uniforms-- something that has fascinated me ever since time began (or in my case when I started playing youth soccer in the late 70's).
