Bill's Sports MapsWe now turn our gaze to Spain for the second of Bill Turianski's Euro 2008 map contributions. Bill's map has the basic info on each player, some photos and then a map detailing each player's birthplace. Spain does have one "foreign" player, Brazilian-born Marcos Senna but otherwise it's an all Spanish-born affair and, with the exception of David Silva of the Canary Islands, an all mainland affair. It's also quite well-rounded - four from Madrid, four from Barcelona, four from Andalusia, a couple from Valencia, a Basque. The only major region unrepresented is Galicia in the Northwest. And 5 of the Spanish side now ply their trade in England, surely the most ever for the Spanish  national team and a telling comment on the power of the English Premier League.
