Official Website: thandaroyalzulufc.co.za The franchise of Hellenic FC was purchased in January 2004. At the time Hellenic were in the Premier Division while Premier United (as they were then known) were in the First Division. The club kept the Hellenic name for the remainder of that season and also the 2004-05 season before becoming Benoni Premier United. After the 2006-07 season the club was purchased by the Thanda business group (a Swedish-South African consortium) and moved from Benoni to Durban. In October 2007 the club was renamed Thanda Royal Zulu FC. Thanda Royal Zulu is an exclusive game reserve (and now residence) in KwaZulu-Natal province, South Africa. The club is now meant (I guess) to act as an advertising vehicle for Thanda Royal Zulu. The nickname Amabhubesi means Lions in the Zulu language.
