Official Website: ruchchorzow.pl The word Ruch means "movement" in Polish and in this context refers to the political movement behind the Silesian Uprisings of 1919-21. Three years after the club's 1920 foundation Ruch absorbed Bismarckhütter Ballspiel-Club and after a year returned to its original name of Ruch Wielkie Hajduki. Hajduki Wielkie was a small town in Selesia that merged with nearby Nowe Hajduki and took on the name of a German iron works in the area named Bismarckhütte. Several years later this town was absorbed into the larger conglomeration of Chorzów. After Poland fell to German hands during World War II the club was reconstituted as Bismarckhütter SV 99 before being reborn again after the war as Ruch Chorzów. The club ran through the usual spell of name changes that affected nearly every club in Eastern Europe at this time before settling back to Ruch Chorzów. The nickname Niebiescy means "The Blues" while Niebeska eRka means something along the lines of "The Blue R". The nickname HKS stands for Hutniczy Sportowy Club and basically translates as Steelworkers Sports Club, a reference to the promiment role that steelworkers have always played in the club's support. In addition to their own stadium Ruch Chorzów play important home games at the much larger Stadion Śląski. Trophy Room:
