Official Website: paokfc.gr Translation: Pan-Thessalonikan Constantinopolitans' Sports Club. Formed by refugees from Constantinople/Istanbul after the Turkish/Greek wars of the early 20th century. The club is a continuation of Hermes, founded in Constantinople in 1875. This community is their traditional fan base. The club's logo is the two-headed eagle, the symbol of Byzantium (the old Greek empire based in Constantinople). The folded wings (not typical of the Byzantine symbol) symbolize mourning for their expulsion from Constantinople. The club's colors symbolize mourning for the tragic past (black) and white (hope for the future). In 1929, merged with AEK Thessaloniki, another rival club founded by refugees from Constantinople. Toumba is a neighborhood of Thessaloniki. Only club outside the big three who have never been relegated since the introduction of professionalism in 1959. Trophy Room:
