Full name Translation: Napoli Sports Soccer Society. The two most important Naples clubs of the early twentieth century - Naples FC and US Inter Napoli - merged in 1922 as FC Inter-Naples. This club was reformed in 1926 as AC Napoli. There was also a financially induced reformation (and name change) in 2004. Napoli are the only club to have won the Coppa Italia while playing in Serie B, this happening in 1962.
