The club's longtime home of Grosvenor Park was destroyed by a firebomb in 1971 in the midst of sectarian troubles. The club was then forced to share grounds with other clubs for nearly a decade before a new stadium was built in Lisburn, about 15 km southwest of Belfast. The club's emblem was changed to incorporate a symbolic phoenix rising from the ashes. The name was changed to Lisburn Distillery in 1999 to represent its close ties to the town of Lisburn and the club's emblem was again changed to incorporate that of the city.
