Official Website: jagiellonia.pl Jagiellonia is named after a Polish royal dynasty which held sway over vast regions of Central and Eastern Europe from the 14th to 16th century. They are based in the city of Białystok, the largest city in northeastern Poland. Jagiellonia's closest touch to major honors so far was reaching the 1989 Polish Cup final, where they lost 5-2 to Legia Warsaw. The nickname Jaga is simply a diminutive of the word Jagiellonia. The stadium, Stadion Miejski, translates as City Stadium.
