Translation: Playing Association Greuther Fürth. The name is a combination of Fürth and Vestenbergsgreuth after SpVgg Fürth merged with TSV Vestenbergsgreuth (a village near the city of Fürth). Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was a member of the club before emigrating to the US and remains a supporter. The stadium is owned by Horst Brandstätter, also the owner of the Playmobil company.
