Description: The club was named for the great Chicago Fire and the official announcement of the club's launch was actually made on the 126th anniversary of the Great Fire itself. The overall club emblem mirrors that of the city of Chicago Fire department while also including a C for Chicago and six points to mirror the six-pointed star in the city’s flag. Since 2007 the club has been owned by by Andell Holdings after previously being owned since its inception by Anschutz Entertainment Group. In the summer of 2006 the Chicago Fire moved into its own Toyota Park stadium in suburban Bridgeview, IL. The club had spent most of its previous existence in Soldier Field, normally used by the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
