Formed in the Villa Crespo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, which is located next to Chacarita. In 1932 the club moved to a new stadium in the San Martín district of Buenos Aires province on the northwestern edge of the city. The Funebreros nickname comes from the stadium's location near a cemetery.
