Founded on July 1, 1907. The full name translates as Atvidaberg Football Club. Their original name meant Atvidaberg Athletic Club. During the club were sponsored by the Facit corporation, who were based in the town. These years were the peak of the club's success. After Facit's bankruptcy ended the sponsorship, the club's fortunes dwindled as well and they have not been in the Allsvenskan since the early 1980s.
