Spanish Football Attendance Map

This month Bill Turianski takes a look at the 2006-07 season in Spanish football in his series of country football maps. It features each club of the first and second divisions (Primera and Segunda) with their logo at their location. As usual each logo is proportional to the club's average attendance, so we've got the enormous Barcelona and Real Madrid and the tiny Lorca and Vecindario. He's also displayed an attendance list, which makes for some interesting reading. The top club Barcelona got over 35x the crowd that little Vecindario did! Meanwhile only three teams from the segunda had crowds above any in the Primera and, interestingly, none of them were promoted. Getafe were stuck at the bottom of the Primera attendance table despite having the best season in the club's history. I can only imagine the crowds they got (or didn't get) in previous years in the Segunda.
