Albion Road attempts to be an encyclopedia of the world's football clubs - the meanings of team names, nicknames, the symbolism of club emblems, histories, uniforms, traditions, etc. Everything that makes each club unique. You'll also find profiles of the sport's major countries and leagues as well as articles of general interest to football fans everywhere. It launched on April 28, 2005.

Why Albion Road?
A few years ago, I played in an English fantasy football league with my friend Andreas. He named the league 'Albion Road', a make-believe English stadium or team or place. I've adopted that name on various message boards and thought it would be an appropriate name for this website.
